1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 391 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Vannie M. Starr 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 1-6 citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Vannie M. Starr, 1-7 who died December 27, 1998; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by her husband, 1-9 W. D. Starr; and 1-10 WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished lady, Vannie Starr 1-11 was respected in the community for her many accomplishments; and 1-12 WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, 1-13 she gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, 1-14 warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who 1-15 knew her; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Vannie Starr was a devoted wife, mother, and 1-17 grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be 1-18 treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, 1-19 be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved 1-22 family of Vannie M.
