1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 394 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Elvira R. Felan 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Elvira R. Felan, who died 1-7 February 15, 1999; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Felan was married to Damacio H. Felan, and the 1-9 devoted couple had three children; and 1-10 WHEREAS, This notable lady had warmth and grace; she taught 1-11 her family strength of character and imparted a high standard of 1-12 values to the members of her household; and 1-13 WHEREAS, A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and 1-14 great-grandmother, she is remembered for the affection, confidence, 1-15 and loyalty she inspired in those with whom she was associated; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Hardworking and resourceful, Mrs. Felan was a lady 1-17 of dignity and charm; and 1-18 WHEREAS, A respected and beloved member of her community, 1-19 Elvira Felan will be remembered for her devotion to her family and 1-20 her friends; she leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment that 1-21 will be cherished by those who shared her life; now, 1-22 therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-24 76th Legislature, hereby express sincere condolences to the 2-1 members of her family: her husband, Damacio H. Felan; her 2-2 daughters, Sandra Felan and Sarah Ramos; her son, Ruben Felan, Sr.; 2-3 and her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and, be 2-4 it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-6 the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-7 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, 2-8 it do so in memory of Elvira R.
