1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 432 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Maria Morales 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Maria Morales, who died on 1-7 February 27, 1999, at the age of 83; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Maria was born April 9, 1915, to Juan A. Morales 1-9 and Anita L. Morales in New Braunfels; and 1-10 WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Maria Morales was respected in 1-11 the community for her many accomplishments and was beloved by her 1-12 family; and 1-13 WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, she 1-14 gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and 1-15 valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and 1-16 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Maria was a member of the Holy 1-17 Family Catholic Church; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Maria Morales was a devoted sister and aunt, and she 1-19 leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family 1-20 and many friends; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 1-23 bereaved family of Maria Morales: her sisters, Erminia McKinnis 1-24 and Rita M.
