1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 457 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Jack Doyle 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 1-6 citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Jack Doyle, who died 1-7 on February 21, 1999; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Born May 31, 1913, in Goodrich, Texas, Jack Doyle 1-9 attended public schools in Goodrich and later moved to Houston; and 1-10 WHEREAS, In Houston he was employed with Kraft Food Company 1-11 for more than 40 years until his retirement in 1978; and 1-12 WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Jack Doyle was respected for 1-13 his many accomplishments and for his leadership in the community; 1-14 and 1-15 WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he 1-16 gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and 1-17 valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and 1-18 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Doyle was a member of 1-19 Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was ordained as a deacon 1-20 by the Reverend Gerald Dew; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Jack Doyle was a devoted husband, father, and 1-22 grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured 1-23 forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to 2-2 the bereaved family of Jack Doyle: his wife of 47 years, 2-3 Mable Doyle; his daughter and son-in-law, Dorrie Doyle and 2-4 Robert Sanders; his sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Doyle 2-5 and Darrell and Felicia Doyle; his sisters, A. Z.
