1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 473 1-2 WHEREAS, Daisy and Freddie Maura placed great faith and trust 1-3 in the future when they married on March 21, 1959, and they have 1-4 been amply rewarded as they are now celebrating their 40th wedding 1-5 anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years 1-7 of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Maura, of Houston, Texas, have 1-8 steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their 1-10 love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and 1-11 sorrows of everyday living; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maura are exemplary citizens who have 1-13 formed many deep and lasting friendships in their community; and 1-14 WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Maura is 1-15 truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it 1-16 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-17 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 1-18 Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Maura on their 40th wedding anniversary; 1-19 and, be it further 1-20 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 1-21 this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in 1-22 their lives. 1-23 Ellis 1-24 ______________________________________ 1-25 President of the Senate 2-1 I hereby certify that the above 2-2 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-3 on March 24, 1999. 2-4 ______________________________________ 2-5 Secretary of the Senate 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 Member, Texas Senate
