1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 584
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is especially
 1-3     proud to recognize the Comfort Young Men's Christian Association
 1-4     Child Development Center on its ground-breaking ceremony on Friday,
 1-5     April 9, 1999; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Under the auspices of the Young Men's Christian
 1-7     Association of San Antonio and the Hill Country, the Comfort Young
 1-8     Men's Christian Association Child Development Center is funded
 1-9     primarily by James Avery, Craftsman, Incorporated; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Another man who is a contributor from Comfort,
1-11     Mr. A. C. Schwethelm, played a major role in acquiring a site for
1-12     the center; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Since the public has begun to recognize the
1-14     vital significance of beginning the education of children early
1-15     in their lives, the Comfort Child Development Center will be a
1-16     welcome addition to the resources of the area; and
1-17           WHEREAS, The commitment and support of many community
1-18     families will be a source of inspiration and encouragement for
1-19     the staff of the new center; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21     76th Legislature, hereby congratulate the Comfort Young Men's
1-22     Christian Association Child Development Center on its
1-23     ground-breaking ceremony; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an
 2-1     expression of the highest regard and esteem of the Texas Senate.
