1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 691
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 1-3     recognize Harold Taylor on the momentous occasion of his
 1-4     retirement after 15 years of outstanding service as the
 1-5     Postmaster of Howe, Texas; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, A resident of Howe, Mr. Taylor began his career
 1-7     with the Post Office 37 years ago in Dallas and will be honored
 1-8     in a special ceremony on April 30, 1999; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Throughout his long and dedicated employment as
1-10     the Postmaster, he ably served the citizens of Howe, earning
1-11     him respect and admiration; and
1-12           WHEREAS, A strong supporter of civic organizations,
1-13     Harold Taylor was actively involved with Boy Scout Troop 45 and
1-14     the Howe Band Boosters, and he served as treasurer of the Howe
1-15     Lions Club for many years; and
1-16           WHEREAS, In recognition of his commitment to the city and
1-17     citizens of Howe, Mr. Taylor was chosen Citizen of the Year; and
1-18           WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, Mr. Taylor has
1-19     been supported throughout his career by his wife, Wanda, and his
1-20     children, Jerry, Scott, and Robin; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-22     76th Legislature, hereby commend Harold Taylor for his
1-23     outstanding service to the citizens of Howe; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
 2-1     for him as an expression of high regard of the Texas Senate.
