1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 767 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Charlie O'Neil McDonald 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of Texas and the citizens of Cedar Creek 1-6 were saddened by the passing of Deacon Charlie O'Neil McDonald; and 1-7 WHEREAS, This venerable member of his community was a man of 1-8 great spiritual strength and his memory will be forever imbedded 1-9 in the hearts and lives of all who knew him; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Born April 29, 1946, he was the fourth child of 1-11 Henry and Estella McDonald and at a very early age became a 1-12 member of Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church; and 1-13 WHEREAS, A man of deep conviction, Deacon McDonald allotted 1-14 his time on this earth to devoted service to his family, friends, 1-15 community, and church; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Founder and member of the Hopewell Male Chorus, 1-17 this devout man leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment that 1-18 will always be cherished by those who knew and loved him; now, 1-19 therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family 1-22 of Deacon Charlie O'Neil McDonald: his wife, Sister Willie; his 1-23 sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Connie McDonald and Ronnie 1-24 and Ty McDonald; his three grandchildren, Neil, Blake, and 2-1 Timothy James; and his mother, Estella; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-3 the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-4 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, 2-5 it do so in memory of Deacon Charlie O'Neil McDonald. 2-6 Ellis 2-7 ______________________________________ 2-8 President of the Senate 2-9 I hereby certify that the above 2-10 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-11 on April 28, 1999, by a rising vote. 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Secretary of the Senate 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 Member, Texas Senate
