1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 795 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 1-3 recognize Emily Fabbri Looney on the grand occasion of her 1-4 80th birthday on May 15, 1999; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Born May 15, 1919, in Alabama, Emily Fabbri 1-6 was the daughter of Albert and Mary Fabbri; she married 1-7 Richard Howard Looney, and the couple was blessed with five 1-8 children; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Emily and Richard lived in Dallas until 1964 when 1-10 they relocated to East Tawakoni; after Richard passed away in 1-11 1968, Emily moved to Emory, Texas, where she became active in 1-12 several volunteer programs; and 1-13 WHEREAS, She joined the Parent-Teacher Association, the 1-14 IBEW Auxiliary, and the Rains County Art League; she worked for 1-15 the Rains County Public Library from 1981 to 1992 and was a 1-16 charter member of the Rains County Friends of the Library; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Emily will be joined by her family to celebrate her 1-18 birthday on May 15 at Fisherman's Baptist Church Fellowship Hall 1-19 in Emory; now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 76th Legislature, hereby commend Emily Fabbri Looney on her 1-22 many accomplishments and extend best wishes to her on the joyous 1-23 occasion of her birthday; and, be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-1 her as a memento of her 80th birthday. 2-2 Cain 2-3 ______________________________________ 2-4 President of the Senate 2-5 I hereby certify that the above 2-6 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-7 on April 30, 1999. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Secretary of the Senate 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Member, Texas Senate
