1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 800 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize Ollie M. Hurst for his nearly 21 years of loyal service 1-4 at Texas Southern University; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mr. Hurst served as a research technician in the 1-6 Biology Department until his retirement; and 1-7 WHEREAS, During his many years with Texas Southern University, 1-8 Mr. Hurst had a positive influence on all those with whom he was 1-9 associated; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Devoted to Texas Southern University and to his work, 1-11 he was committed to providing a superior educational environment 1-12 for students from all parts of Texas and across the nation; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Through his dedication and years of hard work, 1-14 Mr. Hurst helped to make Texas Southern University the high-quality 1-15 institution it is today; now, therefore, be it 1-16 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-17 76th Legislature, hereby commend Ollie M.
