1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 808 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize Verna M. Madere for her nearly 16 years of loyal service 1-4 at Texas Southern University; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Verna Madere served as an administrative assistant 1-6 in the Chemistry Department until her retirement; and 1-7 WHEREAS, During her years with Texas Southern University, 1-8 she had a positive influence on all those with whom she was 1-9 associated; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Devoted to Texas Southern University and to her 1-11 work, she was committed to providing a superior educational 1-12 environment for students from all parts of Texas and across 1-13 the nation; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Through her dedication and many years of hard 1-15 work, Verna Madere helped to make Texas Southern University the 1-16 high-quality institution it is today; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-18 76th Legislature, hereby commend Verna M.
