1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 814
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to join
 1-3     the citizens of Zapata County in saluting all of the employees of
 1-4     the Zapata County Independent School District in recognition of
 1-5     their dedication to the students of the district; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, By designating May 3, 1999, as Zapata County
 1-7     Education Day, the school district is inviting the citizens of the
 1-8     entire county to show their appreciation to the people who provide
 1-9     an educational environment in which all students can achieve their
1-10     goals; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The united effort of every district employee
1-12     is essential to the assurance that all students are given the
1-13     opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, self-esteem, and
1-14     mastery of concepts necessary to finish school and compete in the
1-15     world; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Recognizing these people who are responsible
1-17     for satisfying the diverse and unique individual needs of all
1-18     students is worthy of communitywide support and acknowledgment;
1-19     now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21     76th Legislature, hereby commend the employees of the Zapata County
1-22     Independent School District for their dedication and acknowledge
1-23     May 3, 1999, as Zapata County Education Day; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-1     the school district employees as a token of the appreciation of the
 2-2     Texas Senate.
