1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 915 1-2 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-3 promise, Michael J. De La Vega of San Antonio advanced through 1-4 the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes 1-5 before recently attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and 1-6 WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine 1-7 young man becomes one of the privileged few who ever achieve 1-8 this distinguished honor; and 1-9 WHEREAS, In conducting a service project which allowed 1-10 him to exercise his leadership abilities, Michael has completed 1-11 the requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the 1-12 same time benefitted his community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This personable young man brings great honor to 1-14 himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps 1-15 of Eagles; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Michael is truly a shining example to his troop 1-17 and indeed all citizens of Texas; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 76th Legislature, hereby commend Michael De La Vega of Troop 329 1-20 on his outstanding achievement; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-2 Eagle Scout De La Vega as an expression of admiration from 2-3 the Texas Senate. 2-4 Luna 2-5 ______________________________________ 2-6 President of the Senate 2-7 I hereby certify that the above 2-8 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-9 on May 10, 1999. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Secretary of the Senate 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Member, Texas Senate
