1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 944 1-2 WHEREAS, On May 27, 1999, Matthew Roland Williams will be 1-3 awarded his diploma from the Texas School for the Deaf, and the 1-4 Texas Senate is pleased to honor him; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Commencement exercises will be held in the 1-6 R. L. Davis auditorium at the Texas School for the Deaf at 1-7 7 p.m.; Dr. Roslyn Rosen of Gallaudet University will speak at 1-8 the commencement; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Matthew's graduation is the culmination of years 1-10 of diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge and broaden 1-11 his knowledge; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Matthew can take pride in having earned his diploma 1-13 from a school that is respected in academic circles in Texas as 1-14 well as nationally for its outstanding quality of instruction and 1-15 dedication to excellence; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Matthew can face the future with full confidence 1-17 that his accomplishments, learning skills, and acquired knowledge 1-18 will hold him in good stead in whatever path he chooses; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Upon his graduation, Matthew embarks on an 1-20 adventure into a world that holds countless exciting opportunities 1-21 for him; the family and friends of this remarkable young man are 1-22 justifiably proud of his notable achievements; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-24 76th Legislature, hereby congratulate Matthew Roland Williams on 2-1 his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend best 2-2 wishes for success in his future endeavors; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him 2-4 as a memento of this important milestone in his life. 2-5 Cain 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the above 2-9 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-10 on May 11, 1999. 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
