1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 986
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
 1-3     recognizing Harvey S. Tamon on his 50 years of outstanding service
 1-4     as a broker in the real estate profession; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, This year marks the 50th anniversary of the creation
 1-6     of the Texas Real Estate Commission as a separate state agency; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, For the past 50 years, the Texas Real Estate
 1-8     Commission has pursued its mission of protecting Texas consumers,
 1-9     has ensured the availability of qualified and honest real estate
1-10     professionals, and has fostered economic growth in Texas; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Harvey Tamon was among those originally licensed by
1-12     the agency when it was established, and throughout his career he
1-13     has upheld the highest standards in his profession and has served
1-14     the people of Texas with integrity; and
1-15           WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman and a successful broker,
1-16     Harvey Tamon is being honored by the San Antonio Board of Realtors
1-17     on May 12, 1999, for his dedication to the real estate profession
1-18     and to his state and for his many accomplishments over the last 50
1-19     years; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21     76th Legislature, hereby commend Harvey S. Tamon on his
 2-1     achievements as a trailblazer in the real estate profession and
 2-2     extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
 2-4     as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
