 1-3                                     of
 1-4                               Jesus V. Garcia
 1-5           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
 1-6     of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Jesus V. Garcia, who died
 1-7     May 10, 1999, at the age of 73; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Mr. Garcia was respected in
 1-9     the community for his many accomplishments; and
1-10           WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
1-11     gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
1-12     valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Jesus Garcia was a devoted husband, father, and
1-14     grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
1-15     forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-17     76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
1-18     bereaved family of Jesus V. Garcia:  his wife, Otilia H. Garcia;
1-19     his mother, Estanislaba Gonzales; his daughters and sons-in-law,
1-20     Gloria and Leonard Cortinaz and Jo Ann and Joe Cajas; his sons and
 2-1     daughter-in-law, James Edward and Tawni Garcia and Jesse Garcia;
 2-2     his brother, Jacinto Gonzales; and his seven grandchildren and
 2-3     great-granddaughter; and, be it further
 2-4           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
 2-5     members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
 2-6     the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it
 2-7     do so in memory of Jesus Garcia.
