1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1066
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
1-3 recognize Rebekah M. Gongora for her significant service to the
1-4 citizens of Texas while working as an intern in the office of
1-5 Texas State Senator Mario Gallegos, Jr.; and
1-6 WHEREAS, This vivacious young lady graduated from
1-7 Richard King High School in Corpus Christi and is currently
1-8 pursuing a government degree in the College of Liberal Arts at
1-9 The University of Texas at Austin; and
1-10 WHEREAS, Versatile and extremely outgoing, Rebekah worked
1-11 for The University of Texas Annual Fund as a telecommunications
1-12 operator and as a sales associate and cashier for Oshman's Sporting
1-13 Goods; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Having an animated personality gave her the honor of
1-15 being selected pledge class motivator for Mu Epsilon Theta sorority;
1-16 and
1-17 WHEREAS, Punctuality and an ability to learn the procedures
1-18 of the legislative process quickly made Rebekah an indispensable
1-19 intern; and
1-20 WHEREAS, Rebekah was truly an asset to the office of
1-21 Senator Gallegos and the constituents he represents; her departure
2-1 will certainly be a loss to all who have had the pleasure of
2-2 knowing and working with her; now, therefore, be it
2-3 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-4 76th Legislature, hereby congratulate Rebekah M. Gongora on the
2-5 outstanding job she did as an intern for Senator Mario Gallegos, Jr.;
2-6 and, be it further
2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-8 Rebekah as a memento of the esteem of the Texas Senate.
