1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1107 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Christian Ertle 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of Brazoria County in mourning the loss of Christian Ertle, who 1-7 died April 1, 1999; and 1-8 WHEREAS, In all his personal endeavors, this esteemed 1-9 gentleman dedicated his life to serving his community, and his 1-10 death will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing 1-11 him; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Born January 3, 1948, in Munster, France, Christian 1-13 graduated with a chemical engineering degree from Ecole Nationale 1-14 des Industries Chimiques in Nancy, France, and began his notable 1-15 career with Dow in 1973; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Vitally interested in the welfare of others, 1-17 Christian contributed his time and his efforts to the United Way, 1-18 Brazosport Memorial Hospital, Center for the Arts and Sciences, 1-19 Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, and the Sea Center 1-20 Texas; and 1-21 WHEREAS, The death of such a fine citizen is felt not only 1-22 by his beloved family and friends, but also by the people who 2-1 benefitted from his generosity and community spirit, and it is 2-2 appropriate for the Texas Senate to honor the memory of this 2-3 outstanding individual; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 76th Legislature, extend sincere condolences to the bereaved 2-6 family of Christian Ertle: his wife of 28 years, Marie-Francoise; 2-7 his sons, Benjamin and Jeremie; his father, Martin; and his 2-8 sisters, Marie-France and Huguette; and, be it further 2-9 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-10 members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from 2-11 the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it 2-12 do so in memory of Christian Ertle. 2-13 Brown 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 President of the Senate 2-16 I hereby certify that the above 2-17 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-18 on May 25, 1999, by a rising vote. 2-19 ______________________________________ 2-20 Secretary of the Senate 2-21 ______________________________________ 2-22 Member, Texas Senate
