1-1                         SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1119
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
 1-3     recognizing Dee Margo on his recent induction into the El Paso
 1-4     Business Hall of Fame; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The El Paso Business Hall of Fame celebrates
 1-6     individuals who have contributed to the advancement of business
 1-7     and economic and civic development in the city; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, The individuals are selected by a group of business
 1-9     leaders for their entrepreneurial spirit, business activities, and
1-10     contributions to the community; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Dee Margo has been president of John D. Williams
1-12     Company since 1981; Mr. Margo consistently strives to maintain
1-13     efficiency and excellence in all areas of his company's operations,
1-14     and under his guidance the John D. Williams Company has thrived;
1-15     and
1-16           WHEREAS, Mr. Margo is a well-known community leader and is
1-17     active in the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and its economic
1-18     development initiatives; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Dee Margo is an exemplary gentleman and a successful
1-20     entrepreneur whose company plays a role in stimulating our state's
1-21     economy, providing employment opportunities, and creating healthy
1-22     competition; and
1-23           WHEREAS, Mr. Margo and the other inductees of the El Paso
 2-1     Business Hall of Fame were honored at a banquet hosted by Junior
 2-2     Achievement, the nonprofit economic education organization that
 2-3     sends business consultants to classrooms; this year's banquet,
 2-4     which serves as a major fundraiser for Junior Achievement, took
 2-5     place May 13 at the El Paso Marriott; now, therefore, be it
 2-6           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-7     76th Legislature, hereby commend Dee Margo on his entrepreneurial
 2-8     success and his many contributions to the El Paso community; and,
 2-9     be it further
2-10           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-11     Dee Margo as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
