1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1127 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-3 recognizing Adair Margo on her recent induction into the El Paso 1-4 Business Hall of Fame; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The El Paso Business Hall of Fame celebrates 1-6 individuals who have contributed to the advancement of business, 1-7 economic, and civic development in the city; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The individuals are selected by a group of 1-9 business leaders for their entrepreneurial spirit, business 1-10 activities, and contributions to the community; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Adair Margo opened her art gallery in 1985; 1-12 since its establishment, the Adair Margo Gallery has been a true 1-13 asset to the El Paso community, and Adair's knowledge and 1-14 appreciation of art is a positive influence on area citizens; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Adair Margo is a well-known civic leader and is 1-16 active in a number of organizations and community projects; and 1-17 WHEREAS, An exemplary lady with an engaging personality, 1-18 Adair Margo is a successful entrepreneur, and her art gallery 1-19 contributes to the El Paso culture, economy, and small business 1-20 competition; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Adair Margo and the other inductees of the El Paso 1-22 Business Hall of Fame have been honored at a banquet hosted by 1-23 Junior Achievement, the nonprofit economic education organization 2-1 that sends business consultants to classrooms; this year's banquet, 2-2 which serves as a major fundraiser for Junior Achievement, took 2-3 place May 13 at the El Paso Marriott; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 76th Legislature, hereby commend Adair Margo on her entrepreneurial 2-6 success and her many contributions to the El Paso community; and, 2-7 be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-9 Adair Margo as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-10 Shapleigh 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 President of the Senate 2-13 I hereby certify that the above 2-14 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-15 on May 26, 1999. 2-16 ______________________________________ 2-17 Secretary of the Senate 2-18 ______________________________________ 2-19 Member, Texas Senate
