No. 1136 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 76th 1-2 Legislature, That Senate Rules 12.03 and 12.04, be suspended in 1-3 part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable consideration of, 1-4 and action on, the following specific matters which may be 1-5 contained in the Conference Committee Report on H.B. No. 1. 1-6 1. Salary Policy 1-7 The Conference Committee Report provides appropriations for a 1-8 $100 per month salary increase in the first year of the 1-9 biennium for employees of state agencies and for non-faculty 1-10 employees of institutions of higher education. The salary 1-11 increase includes county extension agents and employees of 1-12 health science institutions paid through interagency contract 1-13 to provide services to inmates of correctional facilities. 1-14 Salaries are increased for law enforcement officers classified 1-15 under Salary Schedule C of Article IX through separate salary 1-16 schedule adjustments. Contingent on the availability of 1-17 additional revenues, appropriations are provided in the second 1-18 year of the biennium for a three percent salary increase for 1-19 faculty at institutions of higher education. This salary 1-20 increase includes faculty at general academic institutions, 1-21 technical colleges, service agencies, and health science 1-22 institutions. 1-23 2. Format Changes 1-24 For each general academic institution, service agency, health 2-1 center, health science center, technical college, and system 2-2 office, the Conference Committee Report combines all strategy 2-3 appropriations into one single appropriation with the 2-4 individual strategies shown, for information only, as the first 2-5 rider in the institution's bill pattern.
