1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1147 1-2 WHEREAS, Only two out of every 100 boys in the 1-3 Boy Scout program ever achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, yet 1-4 John Albert Degollado of Austin has recently joined the elite 1-5 corps of Eagles; and 1-6 WHEREAS, This fine young man has displayed outstanding 1-7 leadership through the planning and execution of a service project 1-8 for his community; and 1-9 WHEREAS, John advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, 1-10 Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank 1-11 of Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-12 promise; and 1-13 WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, this personable young 1-14 man brought great distinction to himself, his family, his troop, 1-15 his community, and his state; and 1-16 WHEREAS, John is an exceptional representative of the 1-17 State of Texas and a sterling example to all who are fortunate 1-18 enough to know him; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 76th Legislature, hereby commend and applaud John Albert Degollado 1-21 of Troop 20 in recognition of his great achievement; and, be it 2-1 further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-3 Eagle Scout Degollado as an expression of high regard from the 2-4 Texas Senate. 2-5 Barrientos 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the above 2-9 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-10 on May 27, 1999. 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
