1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1155 1-2 WHEREAS, Weatherford's Sara Welsch Williamson has 1-3 demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and on the playing 1-4 field, and her dedication to academics and athletics is most 1-5 deserving of special legislative recognition; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A student at Weatherford High School and the 1-7 daughter of former State Representative Ric Williamson and 1-8 Mary Ann Williamson, this exemplary young woman is a member of 1-9 the National Honor Society and the school's Spanish Club and is 1-10 ranked 18th in her class; she has received mention in Who's Who 1-11 Among American High School Students and lists law and military 1-12 intelligence among her academic interests; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Sara was selected as the shortstop for the Texas 1-14 High School State 4A All Tournament Softball Team, and this gifted 1-15 and hardworking athlete has earned numerous other awards and 1-16 accolades for her performance on the diamond; she was recently 1-17 named the 1999 District 8, 4A outstanding hitter and was selected 1-18 as a member of the 1998 and 1999 Arlington Spring Classic All 1-19 Tournament teams; and 1-20 WHEREAS, She has been a starter on her high school team 1-21 since her freshman year, and she is also a valued member of the 1-22 Spark Plugs of the North Richland Hills Girls Softball Association; 1-23 her prowess on the field earned her recognition as All District 1st 2-1 Team Infielder in 1997 and 1998, and her future is indeed bright; 2-2 and 2-3 WHEREAS, Sara Welsch Williamson has established a standard of 2-4 excellence that few can match, continually raising the bar both for 2-5 herself and her peers, and it is truly a pleasure to acknowledge 2-6 this fine young Texan and to recognize her many accomplishments; now, 2-7 therefore, be it 2-8 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-9 76th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Sara Welsch Williamson for 2-10 her academic and athletic achievements and extend to her sincere 2-11 best wishes for great success and happiness in the future; and, 2-12 be it further 2-13 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be 2-14 prepared for Sara Welsch Williamson as an expression of high regard 2-15 by the Texas Senate. 2-16 Sibley 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 President of the Senate 2-19 I hereby certify that the above 2-20 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-21 on May 27, 1999. 2-22 ______________________________________ 2-23 Secretary of the Senate 2-24 ______________________________________ 2-25 Member, Texas Senate
