                                  SENATE RESOLUTION
 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 76th
 1-2     Legislature, Regular Session, 1999, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
 1-3     suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08, to enable the
 1-4     conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on H.B.
 1-5     No. 1861, relating to increasing private investments in
 1-6     transportation infrastructure in the border region, to consider and
 1-7     take action on the following matter:
 1-8           Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the committee to
 1-9     change text in Section 201.109(b), Transportation Code, so that the
1-10     language reads as follows:
1-11                 (7)  increasing private investment in the
1-12     transportation infrastructure, including the acquisition of
1-13     causeways, bridges, tunnels, turnpikes, or other transportation
1-14     facilities, in the border region, including the counties of
1-15     Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Brewster, Brooks, Cameron, Crockett,
1-16     Culberson, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, El Paso, Frio, Hidalgo,
1-17     Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kerr, Kimble,
1-18     Kinney, Kleberg, La Salle, Live Oak, Maverick, McMullen, Medina,
1-19     Nueces, Pecos, Presidio, Real, Reeves, San Patricio, Starr, Sutton,
1-20     Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, Webb, Willacy, Zapata, and Zavala.
1-21           Explanation: This change is necessary to specify items
1-22     included in the transportation infrastructure in the border region.
