1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1205 1-2 WHEREAS, Responsible and resourceful management is 1-3 essential to the success of any business, and the National 1-4 Management Association advocates such practices; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The largest nonprofit organization of its type, 1-6 the National Management Association has more than 40,000 members 1-7 covering the entire public sector with more than 8,000 members 1-8 residing in Texas; and 1-9 WHEREAS, A staunch supporter of the free enterprise 1-10 system, the organization uses the talents and abilities of its 1-11 members to promote the smooth operation of business; and 1-12 WHEREAS, To highlight the development and recognition of 1-13 management as a profession, one week each year is designated to 1-14 honor the contributions made on behalf of this outstanding 1-15 organization; now, therefore, be it 1-16 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-17 76th Legislature, hereby recognize June 1 through 7, 1999, as 1-18 National Management Week in Texas; and, be it further 1-19 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 1-20 the Texas Gulf Coast Council National Management Association as 1-21 an expression of highest regard from the Texas Senate. 2-1 Gallegos 2-2 ______________________________________ 2-3 President of the Senate 2-4 I hereby certify that the above 2-5 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-6 on May 31, 1999. 2-7 ______________________________________ 2-8 Secretary of the Senate 2-9 ______________________________________ 2-10 Member, Texas Senate
