Registrations not completed in a timely manner would be subject to an additional penalty of the higher of 20 percent of the prescribed registration fee, or five dollars for each full or partial calendar month that elapsed after the date the registration expired beginning with the second month after that date. Methodology TxDOT estimates that the State Highway Fund 0006 would continue to receive approximately 66 percent of the collections under this bill, with the remainder going to the counties.
