Fiscal Analysis
The bill would exempt certain peace officers from the provisions of the
Private Investigators and Private Security Agencies Act.
Methodology
It is estimated that as many as 625 peace officers could be exempted from
the Act as a result of the bill. These peace officers would no longer
be required to pay the $25 licensing fee and $225 registration fee,
resulting in an annual revenue loss of $156,250.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
