Methodology * The annual cost to the state for a district attorney under the PPA is $150,517. The current annual cost to the state for the district attorney for the 1st Judicial District is $111,262, including benefits. * Information from the Comptroller of Public Accounts was used to determine the salary and benefit levels of district attorneys that may practice law and district attorneys that fall under the PPA.
