*  basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of    *
*  the bill.                                                             *

The bill would require the Department of Health to approve or give
training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of the automated
external defibrillator and to adopt rules establishing the minimum
requirements for the training.  It is assumed that these provisions can
be implemented by the department within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
