* basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of *
* the bill. *

The bill would amend Chapter 531 of the Government Code to require a
state agency that proposes to deliver public benefits through electronic
benefit transfers (EBT) to comply with any strategic guidelines adopted
by the Interagency Task Force on EBT relating to the development and use
of an electronic benefits transfer system.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
