Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. If the change in language results in an increase in the number of individuals declining immunizations, local government may incur additional costs. According to the Department of Health, costs to local government may include those associated with declining school attendance due to illnesses caused by vaccine preventable diseases, and outbreak control.
