The bill would continue the Texas Planning Council for Developmental
Disabilities for 12 years, setting the Sunset review as September 1,
2011. The bill would update the Council's statute to conform with
current federal law, clarify the relationship between the Council and
the Texas Rehabilitation Commission, and further define the
responsibilities of the Council.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
