Local Government Impact
Assuming the county would otherwise pay the cost of outside counsel for
one party in a suit, the bill could result in some savings to counties,
since the district attorney's office could represent both parties in the
suit. The amount of savings would depend on the number of suits filed
and the complexity and duration of each suit.
