* No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. *

* The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal *

This bill would revise the areas eligible for annexation by public
community college districts. There would be no direct impact to state
funds.
Local Government Impact
The bill would expand the annexation authorization powers of junior
colleges, enabling larger areas to be included within the district of a
junior college. To the degree that junior college districts take
advantage of this expanded authorization, the taxing area of the
district and the tuition paid by students living in newly annexed areas
would be affected. This would vary from district to district.
