Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

The bill authorizes an increase in student fees for the Texas Union
Building. The student union fee increase would generate approximately
$200,625 in Fiscal Year 2000 and $660,540 in Fiscal Year 2001 and
subsequent fiscal years. These fee are local and auxiliary in nature and
do not affect the state supported educational and general operations of
the University.
