Local Government Impact

Counties that have child support enforcement cooperative agreements with
the Title IV-D agency could experience increased revenues as a result of
the bill's enactment. The amount of revenues would depend on whether a
county would impose child support fees, the number of cases for which the
fee would be collected and the amount a county would impose.

Bexar County estimates that the bill could provide additional revenue of
$200,000 annually. Travis County estimates that the bill could provide
as much as $43,200 in additional annual revenue.
