Local Government Impact
The bill's provision requiring a political subdivision to consider the
amount of revenue received by the political subdivision from sources
generated by new development, including sales taxes, property taxes,
development fees and building fees in the calculation of an impact fee
could result in a reduction in impact fee revenue to political
subdivisions. The amount of the reduction would depend on the amount of
tax and fee revenue that would be discounted for each development to
which impact fees would be assessed.
