LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 76th Regular Session April 19, 1999 TO: Honorable Bob Hunter, Chair, House Committee on State, Federal & International Relations FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB2103 by Pitts (relating to state symbols and place designations adopted by the legislature), Committee Report 1st House, as amended ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The State Library and Archives Commission indicates that it would incur a one-time cost associated with researching all state statutes to compile the initial list of symbols and place designations. However, the fiscal note assumes these costs could be reasonably absorbed within current appropriations, as the cost is insignificant relative to the size of the agency's budget. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Source Agencies: 306 Library and Archives Commission LBB Staff: JK, TH, JH
