Local Government Impact

The bill would create the County Court at Law of Kendall County effective
January 1, 2001, or earlier by vote of the county commissioners. The
annual operating cost of the court would be $209,352. Kendall County
would have a one-time capital cost of $11,000. Kendall County would
realize an annual savings of $74,765 because some of the duties currently
being attended to by the county's other district and county courts would
be transferred to the new county court of law.

Information on the capital and operating costs of the court, and
associated savings was provided by the Kendall County Auditor's Office.
