Local Government Impact

The Comptroller's office estimates that if one-half of performance
reviews were requested by school districts, the statewide cost incurred
by districts would be $125,000. This estimate is based on the existing
school performance review system administered by the Comptroller's
office for which $1 million has been requested in the 2000-2001
biennium. Statewide local cost would be higher if more than one-half of
performance review requests were made by districts.
