Methodology The annual cost to the state for the salary and benefits of a district attorney under the PPA is $150,517. The current cost to the state for the salary and benefits of the district attorney for the 33rd Judicial District is $111,262. Information from the Comptroller of Public Accounts was used to determine the salary and benefit levels of district attorneys that may practice law and district attorneys that fall under the PPA.
