Local Government Impact

The bill would replace certain per page probate filing and recording fees
with per filing fees, regardless of the number of pages filed. There
could be a revenue gain or a loss to counties, depending on the number of
filings and the number of pages filed.

Denton, Jefferson and Williamson Counties were contacted and anticipate
no significant fiscal impact as a result of the bill's enactment.

Harris County estimates an annual revenue loss of $84,000 per year.
Tarrant County anticipates a loss in revenue of $30,000 per year.
