The bill would authorize a student service fee not to exceed $.85 per
semester credit hour for the renovation of the Aquatics Center at the
Gregory Gym. Fee revenue generated would be approximately $1,030,200
annually, however collection of fees would not begin until Spring 2001
when renovation is completed. These fees are auxiliary in nature and do
not impact state appropriations.
A total of 16.75 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff would be needed to
support the renovated facility. These FTE's would be paid from auxiliary
funds and would not be subject to the institution's appropriated FTE
cap.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
