Local Government Impact
A general-law municipality petitioned to recall a municipal officer could
incur the cost of a special election for that purpose. The cost of
conducting a recall election would depend on the population of the
municipality. Based on a recent survey of local governments, the median
cost of a local election has been calculated at $.52 per resident.
