LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 76th Regular Session April 13, 1999 TO: Honorable Patricia Gray, Chair, House Committee on Public Health FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB95 by Moncrief (Relating to studies and strategic plans concerning the delivery of long-term care, community services, and certain health services.), As Engrossed ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * * * * The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal * * basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of * * the bill. * ************************************************************************** The bill would require studies and strategic plans for the delivery of long-term care, community services and other health services. The bill would also direct the Texas Rehabilitation Commission to form a work group on brain injury rehabilitation services which would include representatives of the developers and providers of brain injury rehabilitation facilities and consumers of brain injury services. Reimbursement for travel and other expenses of the work group would require authority in the General Appropriations Act. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
