Local Government Impact

The bill would explicitly allow local school boards to adopt rules to
keep school campuses, including libraries, open for recreational
activities and tutoring after school hours.

The costs for keeping school campuses open after school hours would be
borne by the local school district. The cost would depend on the amount
of time the building was open, the level of recreational and tutorial
services offered, and the number of volunteers the district was able to
obtain.
