Washington, D.C., internships and abolishing the
Texas-Washington, D.C., intern scholarship program.), As

* No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. *

Any revenue from the new Washington, D.C. Internship Education Fee would
be held by the institution of higher education in a local fund outside
of the State Treasury. The fee would be optional. If an institution
decided to charge and collect the maximum fee, the gain to its local
funds would be $1 for each student registered each semester and session.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
