Local Government Impact

Counties that have cooperative agreements with the Title IV-D agency
could experience increased revenues as a result of the bill's enactment.
The amount of revenues would depend on whether a county would impose
child support fees, the number of cases for which the fee would be
collected and the amount a county would impose.

Based on data provided by counties, it is estimated that the bill could
provide as much as $293,200 in additional annual revenue to Bexar County
and as much as $63,300 in additional annual revenue to Tarrant County.
