* No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. *

The bill defines the membership and roles of regional Tech-Prep consortia
and fiscal agents. The provisions of the bill would have no impact on
state funds, but because certain of these definitions might be in
conflict with federal regulations concerning these areas, the bill might
result in the state being ineligible for part or all of the $8.5 million
in federal Tech Prep funds received annually.

Local Government Impact

Local government education units such as community college and school
districts could be affected by any changes in federal funds received for
Tech-Prep programs.
