The provisions of the bill would have no impact on state funds, but because certain of these definitions might be in conflict with federal regulations concerning these areas, the bill might result in the state being ineligible for part or all of the $8.5 million in federal Tech Prep funds received annually. Local Government Impact Local government education units such as community college and school districts could be affected by any changes in federal funds received for Tech-Prep programs.
