       IN RE:  SB 1446 by Barrientos (relating to authorizing the
               General Services Commission to convey certain state-owned
               property to the City of Austin), Committee Report 2nd
               House, as amended

The General Services Commission (GSC), subject to the approval of the
Legislative Budget Board and Office of the Governor, may convey, on
behalf of the state, the state's interest in the real property described
in the bill.

The proceeds from the conveyance shall be deposited in the state treasury
and may be used only by the GSC for deposit into the interest and
sinking fund of the outstanding bonds related to the property in amounts
sufficient to defease said bonds.
  
Local Government Impact
  
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
